E-MAIL
FRIENDS
I had some free time,
So what did I do?
I checked the computer
To see if I'd heard from you!
I used to be contented waiting
For the postman to bring my mail.
But now I'd rather get it instantly,
Than wait on that slow old snail!
Checking my e-mail
Is always good fun!
I usually get a joke or hug
Or picture from someone.
I feel so blessed all because
I know on the other end,
There's someone I'm connected to,
That I can call my friend!
And with this message,
I hope I've let them know
That I when they need a friend,
I'll always be there also!
Isn't it a strange kind
Of electronic bond we form?
A lot of people we know,
Wouldn't consider it the "norm"!
But where is it written,
Face to face we must be,
For you to be very close
And such a dear friend to me?
Whether it be jokes and notes,
Or just a simple "Hi",
It's always like a ray of sunshine
Shining down from the sky!
To my E-Mail Friends,
This is dedicated to you,
For all the smiles and chuckles
When I get e-mail from you!
May our wonderful friendship
Last and continue to grow.
May the warmth we have between us
Flourish and continue to flow!
So no matter what happens,
Always remember what I say.
